Beach house we stayed at in Lincoln City, Oregon.

The weather was great all week (sunny, no rain, and 75 degrees), except for clouds the last day.

Suspension bridge at Drift Creek Falls after the hike in (about 4 miles round trip). It's about 100 feet long and 100 feet high.

Sarah and I enjoyed a short getaway to The Four Seasons Hotel and Resort at Troon North in sunny Scottsdale, Arizona.

Boston

Took a trip to Boston with the family. 

Visited Old North Church to go along with our studies about Paul Revere.

Ate lunch at Cheers -- just because.

Took a tour of Fenway Park, home to the Boston Red Sox baseball team. Got to see the "Green Monster" up close (thirty-seven foot high left field wall).

Saw Harvard University.

Visited Plymouth Rock and the related historical sites.

Went to the Washington Wizards basketball game...

...the kids had a blast in the sky-box!

 

Went to the theater downtown to see Newsies with Andrew on his birthday.

Went to the Washington Nationals baseball game with the kids...

...all smiles (even with the braces)!

Grant made an owl out of a toilet paper tube with Dad. 

Gracie grabbed a hammer and nails and made a candle holder out of a tin can with Dad. 

Dad made a tree swing for the backyard that all of the kids can enjoy.

Dad built trucks out of Legos with Andrew and Grant.

Mom and Dad worked together to make a piano bench for Gracie.

Katie and Dad made a collapsible wood tent frame. 

And then covered it with pretty pink fabric.

(Katie cut the wood to length with the chop saw, drilled the holes with the drill press, and put it together -- with supervision.)
